The camera phones are a particular form of mobile phone devices which contain an in built camera and they are also fused with a server-based infrastructure or protocol which are known as MMS and allow the user of such camera phones to immediately transfer pictures and video to somebody else who has also got has a device which can be adapted or supportive of the other devices which will help you to receive pictures and videos or simply the video clippings. The receiving device, typically, must have a web browser with facility of messaging or must be capable of decoding and displaying MMS information. Though the basic principles are same but when it comes to data transfer is such ways as it happens with the camera phones, then the technological requirements are opposed to an ordinary telephone for example. The picture and video which are are generally delivered after the requests of the message recipient, they are sent in response to a notification or a specification of a picture or video message which is received at the main server.
Over the years there have been introduction of many video phones and cameras which are inclusive of communications technologies.
Even some of years ago neither of the camera phone companies focused on the integration to the wireless Internet which will be allowing the basic devices to share media instantly with anyone anywhere. From 1995 onwards such experiments started and it includes a specific from of device which is known as the AppleVideophone or PDA phone. There were several digital camera phones which are having cellular phone transmission capability and all these facilities have been introduced by the camera phone companies such as Kodak, Olympus at the very beginning of the 90's.
Camera phones have the device support to share pictures automatically and instantly with the help of a sharing infrastructure which is an integral part of the carrier network. In order to transfer data, for these camera phones, there is no need of using connecting cables or removable media devices to transfer pictures. It is not necessary for the intervention or usage of the personal computers. Some of the camera phones are facilitated with the CMOS image sensors. The main reason is that this device has the capability of largely reducing the power consumption in comparison with the CCD type cameras, which are also used. Because of the lower power consumption capability of these phones the camera gains the capability of preventing from quickly depleting the battery of the phone. In the modern camera phones images are usually stored in the JPEG file format, and the wireless infrastructure of the phones helps in managing in sharing the pictures, music or video files. The sharing infrastructure is complex and becomes more explicit with the great achievement of J-Phone and DoCoMo in Japan as well as Sprint and other transporting devices in the United States and they have contributed to a great extent to the widespread success of the camera phones worldwide. The leading manufacturers of the camera phones comprise Sharp, Nokia, Motorola, Siemens, Sanyo, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and LG Electronics.
